Isafjordur is a small but attractive town set in the rugged nature of the Westfjords of Iceland. Ísafjörður has quickly become the ultimate spot in Iceland to sea kayak, this is because the shelter of the deep fjords, which provide relatively forgiving conditions to paddle and of course the mesmerizing, awe inspiring landscapes found in the Westfjords. How to get to Ísafjörður and the Westfjords:
There are 2-3 flights per day from Reykjavik (only 40 minutes) and the airport is only5 minutes from the town center. The drive from Reykjavik is an unforgettable journey and would add an extra element to your stay in Iceland. It should take you around 5-6 hours on paved roads all the way.
