Our horse riding adventure starts at Íshestar Riding Center where we saddle up. We go for an amazing horse riding tour into the lava surrounding Mt. Helgafell volcano and ride through lava fields and across beautiful hillsides to the old Kaldársel sheep corral or to Lake Hvaleyrarvatn. As we ride through this magical scenery you will see different formations in the rough lava and you might even be able to spot a troll or two. All riding is on excellent riding paths with the beautiful Bláfjöll Mountains towering above on the horizon.

Guaranteed departures for minimum 2 persons everyday all year round with pick up from your accommodation.

Price: 8.900 ISK per person.

Available: All year round.

Guaranteed departures: Daily at 10:00 and 14:00. Transfer from hotels and guesthouses to the Riding Center for the morning departure start 8:30 and transfer back starts at 12:15. The pick-up for the afternoon departure starts at 12:45 from hotels and guesthouses.

Minimum: 1 person. Maximum 60 persons.

Duration of trip: 3 hours 

Included: Pick-up from Reykjavík and 1,5 - 2 hours horse riding.

Bring with you: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, headwear and gloves.

Age limit: 8 years. Children 8-11 years receive a 50% discount.
No knowledge of the sport is required!
