Our horse riding adventure starts at Íshestar Riding Center where we saddle up. We go for an amazing horse riding tour into the lava surrounding Mt. Helgafell volcano and ride through lava fields and across beautiful hillsides to the old Kaldársel sheep corral or to Lake Hvaleyrarvatn. As we ride through this magical scenery you will see different formations in the rough lava and you might even be able to spot a troll or two. All riding is on excellent riding paths with the beautiful Bláfjöll Mountains towering above on the horizon.

Also note that you can combine this tour with lava caving (the Black Lava tour) all year round and in the summer with snorkeling in Silfra fissure (the Blue Lava tour).
