Testimonials

From Richard

Hi there,

I wanted to say a big thanks for such a good trip.

This week we did 'Blue Ice' glacier trip on Monday and the 'Black and Blue' snorkel/cave trip on Tuesday.

The guides were excellent. Super friendly Raggi was really informative about the geology of the glacier and the beautiful Tiina was very helpful and went the extra mile to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves...!

Please pass on my thanks to all and I shall definately book more trips next time I get the chance to go back to Iceland!

All the best
Richard

Wall of Ice - Ice Climbing Tour

Ice Climbing from Skaftafell National Park

Trip difficulty ranges from 2 out of 5 possible.

Ice climbing on the Svínafellsjökull glacier is truly an amazing experience. Not only will you be climbing in an extraordinary landscape, you will also be conquering gravity. Our step by step approach ensures professional instruction in the form and technical aspects of ice climbing.  Whether you are just beginning or looking for improvement, trips are adapted to all skill levels so bring the whole family.  No prior experience necessary.

We start at 15:15 each day from Skaftafell National Park, where we will provide you with all of the appropriate gear including crampons and technical ice tools. After taking a short drive to Svínafellsjökull we will gear up on crampons, making our way past unique ice formations and over the crevasse riddled outlet glacier to a wall of ice.  This is a safe and fun introduction into the exhilarating world of vertical ice and is sure to be an experience you will never forget!
