What is the age limit for snow scooters?
To drive the scooters you need a valid international car driver’s license. For sitting at the back of the scooter the age limit is 8 years old.
What clothing is provided?
We provide winter overalls, gloves, warm head wear and a helmet.
What do I need to bring?
Warm outdoor clothing and good hiking shoes!
If I want to drive to the glacier, can I go there by a regular car?
No you will need a jeep, a 4x4 jeep and that is only in summer time. In the winter time you need a Super-Jeep and qualified driver to get to the base camp. All our winter snowmobile tours include the transfer from Reykjavík to the Langjökull Glacier.
If I don´t have a 4x4 car, can I meet the guide on the way?
Yes we can pick you up from Gullfoss, the pick up from Gullfoss and the pick up is at 09:30 and 14:30.
What is the difference between Glacier Ride & Golden Glacier Ride?
The Glacier Ride is only available in the summer time and includes a direct transfer to the Langjökull Glacier and a one hour trip on the glacier. The Golden Glacier Ride includes sightseeing on the Golden Circle with stops at Þingvellir National Park, Geysir Hot Springs and Gullfoss Waterfall before going to the glacier for a one hour long trip on the snow mobiles.
What is included in the trip?
Glacier Ride: Pickup, 1 hour snowmobiling. Golden Circle Glacier Ride: Super Jeep transfer, Sight seeing tour- stop at Thingvellir national park, Geysir hot springs and Gullfoss waterfall and one hour of snow scooters on Langjökull glacier.
Is lunch included on the trip?
No there is no lunch included. So you should bring some lunch or you can buy some at Gullfoss Café, they have the best Icelandic meet soup!
When is the Golden Glacier Ride available?
All year round.
When is the Glacier Ride available?
In the summer, from the 15th of May to the 11th of September.
On which glacier are the Glacier Ride, Glacier Cruiser, Golden Glacier Ride and Iceland Elements snow mobile tours performed?
All these trips take place on the Langjökull Glacier (e. Long Glacier) and our basecamp is located on the Kjölur highland road a few kilometers above the Gullfoss Waterfall in South Iceland.

A few words about the weather
Remember that the weather in Iceland can change instantly and that you should be prepaired for rain and bad weather even though there is sunshine when you leave Reykjavík! Of course it can also be rainy in Reykjavík and sunny at your destination :) So be prepaired when packing your stuff.
