The Hnappavellir cliffs is the perfect place, they once rose from the sea but now tower over grassy meadows with Vatnajökull in the background. Hnappavellir is without a shadow of a doubt Iceland´s premier rock climbing area. Hnappavellir is located a short drive from Skaftafell in Vatnajökull National Park and there are countless routes to choose from. No matter what your level of climbing, you are sure to find something to get your blood pumbing. We will supply shoes, harness, helmet and line, all you need to bring is an adventurous spirit.
A professional climbing guide will accompany you and handle all safety precations and belaying. The safety line makes sure that even if you lose your grip you will get a second chance at climbing the cliff. This is a challenging trip that offers as much excitement and fun as you can ask for!
A part of the price of your trip will be donated to help build more routes and build facilities here and other rick climbing areas in Iceland.

Distance from Reykjavík: 330 km / 205 miles.

Duration: 4-5 hours.
Age limit: 12 years.
Bring with you: warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants.
You can add waterproof clothing for 500 ISK per item if needed.
