The Glacier Wonders day trip is a glacier hike on the Virkisjökull glacier only 10 minutes from Skaftafell Service Center. This trip offers something no other glacier in Iceland can, only a 45 minute hike and you will be able stand with in 20 meters of an actual ice fall. An ice fall is where the ancient glacier crashes down the mountain..an absolutely breathtaking place, don´t miss it!

Our adventure the Glacier Explorer will show you the rugged beauty of the Fjallsjökull outlet glacier and the lagoon it crashes into.
