Testimonials

From Simone

Dear Arctic Adventures
I’d like to thank you for making my recent trip to Iceland such a wonderful experience.  I took a variety of winter activities with you and thoroughly enjoyed them all.

Meo and Lisa were perfect guides for the Glacier climbing trip.  They had an ideal balance between making the trip fun and exciting, yet also safe.  I learnt a lot on the trip, with Meo teaching me just enough at each stage,  without me feeling overloaded with information.  They both made me feel extremely comfortable asking questions, and I felt in extremely safe hands.

Laurent was a wonderful friendly guide for the snorkelling trip, again instilling confidence, while maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere.  I would really like to thank him for going the extra mile to make the Northern lights hunt happen.  Despite the unpredictable weather and snowfall, he ensured that we didn’t miss out on a thing.

The knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm of your guides made my holiday a terrific experience which I will remember for a very long time.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending you.

Thank you
Simone Hunter

Blue Lagoon On Wheels - Mountain Biking Tour in Reykjanes Peninsula

Mountain biking adventure tour from the Blue Lagoon and around the Reykjanes Penisula.

Trip difficulty 3 out of 5 possible. Rated: Challenging

Join us for a mountain bike tour of the "steamy peninsula"  Reykjanes, located on the southwestern tip of Iceland. This lunar landscape with craters and hot springs will leave a strong impression!

We pick up our mountain bikers at a Reykjavik hotel and drive to the famous Blue Lagoon. Our tour begins by cycling from the lagoon through gently rolling terrains with a magnificent, mountainous panorama view. We will ride to Eldvörp, a row of craters northwest of the village Grindavik. These stunning craters were formed in the Reykjanes Fires 1210-1240 AD in the Svartsengi volcanic system. This area was used by the Apollo flight crew to practice moon walking. This beautiful landscape with craters and lava is one of a kind!  Steam can be seen flowing from one crater, the temperature inside measuring around 80° C.

We continue cycling, biking to the fishing village Grindavik. We cycle to Hópsnes, a beautiful cape with lighthouses, shipwreks and pounding waves. This  coastline is home to vast birdlife.

Our tour ends with a swim in the Blue Lagoon, a great way to end a wonderful day of cycling! This famous lagoon is made of warm geothermal seawater with natural active ingredients; mineral salts, silica and blue green algae. The lagoon has been voted the best medical spa worldwide and has for years been awarded the Blue Flag environmental recognition granted to natural beaches. After unwinding in the lagoon we drive our cyclists back to Reykjavik- relaxed and enriched with the breathtaking raw nature Iceland has to offer!
