RiverFun - Morning Departure

MORNING DEPARTURE
River rafting on the Hvítá river right next door to Geysir in Iceland.

Trip Duration: 3-4 hours, 7-8 hours with pick up.
Trip Difficulty: 2 out of 5 possible (Easy).
Minimum Age: 12 years for rafting the whole river and 10 years for half of the river.

We started rafting the Hvítá River (pronounced Kveetau) more than 27 years ago and since those early days it has been the most popular adventure activity in Iceland. The Hvítá river is a beautiful and fun river a little more than one hour from Reykjavík. The river has a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids. On our way we pass through the magnificent Brúarhlöð canyon and in that stunning setting participants have the option of jumping from a cliff into the river.  Who can resist going glacier river swimming in Iceland?

No one should leave Iceland without experiencing the power that its rivers contain and lay eyes on the scenic canyons of Hvítá river...not to mention relaxing with a beer in our sauna after a day of adventure!

PRICE:
9.990 ISK per person without pick-up.
14.990 ISK per person with pick-up at 8:00-8:30 and lunch.

SEASON: May 1 - Sept 30
Note: We may be able to accommodate group bookings in late April and early October as well. Please contact info@adventures.is for availability.

GUARANTEED DEPARTURES:
In the high season (May 15 - Sept 15):
Everyday at 08:00 from Reykjavík and 10:00 from Drumbó basecamp. No minimum participation is required. 

In the shoulder seasons (May 1 - May 14 & Sept 16 - 30):
Everyday at 08:00 from Reykjavík and 10:00 from Drumbó basecamp. Minimum 4 persons. If you are less than four in your group, contact us to join another group. 

BRING WITH YOU:

- a warm sweater
- bathing suit
- change of clothing and a towel.

EXTRAS:  

- Towel: 300 ISK
- Waterproof Camera: 2.500 ISK
- Eyeglass retainers 1.500 ISK
- Arctic Rafting T-Shirt 2.500 ISK

If you are making your own way to Drumbó raft base you can add a lunch buffet or a Viking BBQ dinner (flame grilled icelandic lamb) before or after your trip. Note: Lunch buffet and BBQ dinner have to be pre booked. 

- Lunch buffet: 1.450 ISK per person
- Viking BBQ dinner: 2.690 ISK per person.

In the shoulder seasons the RiverFun and all its combo tours are available for minimum 4 persons. If you are only two, contact us to join another group. 


* If you are staying at one of the many hotels and guesthouses in the city center then your pick up for your tour will be at 8:00 from the Arctic Adventures main office at Laugavegur 11. The office is located in the heart of the old city center. Click here to see a map of our location.
