Just to starts things off on the right tone...These are NOT standard super jeep trips...here you get to drive the jeep yourself!!!

Arctic Adventures is the first travel company in Iceland to offer self drive super jeep day trips combined with  some of our great eco adventures. On these tours you get to drive on adventurous trails on modified 4x4 self-drive vehicles (Land Rover Defender 110,  with huge 38" tires, Snorkel, VHF radio intercommunication, GPS, air compressor) which were especially designed for demanding terrain.

With these vehicles, participants discover glaciers, desserts, lava fields but also other main attractions in Iceland, like the highland valley of Þórsmörk and the Golden Circle.

The travelers are accompanied by a leading vehicle or there is a professional certified Iceland guide in the jeep ensuring safety and giving them detailed information about the country, its nature and culture.

To reduce the impact of our vehicles on our beautiful but sensitive Icelandic nature we teamed up with Icelandic New Energy (www.newenergy.is) and the Icelandic Carbon Fund Kolvidur (www.kolvidur.is). For every driven kilometer we support these companies with their ongoing projects here in Iceland.

Cross the Langjökull, Iceland´s second biggest glacier, available driver guided or as a self drive super jeep tour.

Power into the Þórsmörk valley, go glacier hiking, sleep in a mountain chalet and visit the black sand beaches, available driver guided or as a self drive super jeep tour.

We are also ready to customize any day trip you want...you can mix the self drive tour with almost any of our trips. And the jeeps are of course availble for extended rentals and adventure trips at any time of the year...and one more thing, if you don´t want to drive but rather be driven then your guide can of course drive the jeep for no extra charge...!
