Explore the hidden world beneath ours in an amazing trip to the underworld. In our caving trips you will see first hand the magical rock formations that volcanic eruptions have left behind. Exploring the dark and hidden lava tubes is a great addition to your Iceland adventure and a perfect way to see how Iceland was created.

We currently offer two lava caving trips, Underworld summer and Underworld winter. The summer edition takes place in Thingvellir National Park where we explore Gjabakkahellir cave. In winter we change locations mainly because some caves are easier to access over the harsh winter months. In winter we explore Leidarendi cave, a magnificent lava tube hidden in the Blue Mountains area.

To make your adventure even more exciting we offer lava caving combos, where our Underworld trips are combined with other popular activities like snorkeling, Golden Circle sightseeing, Super Jeep Slef Drive and Quad biking (ATV).
