Golden Circle Safari w/ Snowmobiles - Driver Guided Super Jeep Safari, Golden Circle Sightseeing & Snowmobile Action!

Combo Trip: Super Jeep, Golden Circle Sightseeing & 1 Hour Snowmobile Tour on Langjökull Glacier. Day Tour Available Directly from Reykjavík City.

Trip difficulty 2 out of 5 possible. Rated: Easy

The Golden Circle tour allows visitors to get in touch with some of Iceland’s most famous and exciting natural phenomena. Our first stop is at the Þingvellir National Park 40 min due east of the city. Þingvellir is one of Iceland’s most historic sites as it was here that Iceland’s first parliament was founded in the year 930 AD. From Þingvellir we head along gravel tracks toward the world-renowned geothermal area around the Geysir hot spring. This is the one spouting hot spring that all such phenomena on Earth are named after. From there we continue on to Gullfoss (“the Golden waterfall”) where your proximity to its edge is so close you can feel the spray of the glacial water on your face. Next we kick the action into higher gear to get even closer to Iceland’s nature and go for a snowmobiling tour on Langjökull, Iceland’s second largest glacier.

We reserve the right to alter the itinerary according to weather and road conditions.

Our super jeeps seat 5 - 12 persons so our Safaris are always a small group experience!

Guaranteed departures for minimum 2 persons: Everyday all year round with pick up from your accommodation between 8:30 - 9:00 AM.
Please note: Between 16th of September and 30th of September this tour is only available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Please note: for Christmas and New Years we have different availability for the 24th-26th of December and 31st of December - 1st of January. Please contact our office for further information or click here for our holiday schedule.

A Golden Circle Super Jeep Ride is included on the following popular multi day adventure packages:

Available: 16th of September to 14th of May (depending on weather and snow conditions).
Note: From 16th of September to 30th of September this tour is only available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays!

Guaranteed departures: Everyday with a pick up from Reykjavík from 8:30-9:00 AM.

Minimum 2 persons.

Duration of trip: 9-10 hours.

Included: Pick-up from Reykjavík, driver guided super jeep safari, a visit to Þingvellir National Park, Geysir and Gullfoss, 1 hours snowmobile ride with two persons sharing a snowmobile and snow gear.

Bring with you: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, headwear and gloves.

Age limit: 8 years as a passenger on the snowmobile.

No knowledge of the sport is required!

Please note: A valid driving license is required to drive the snowmobile.

Note:
If the whole trip gets canceled due to weather there is a full refund, but if the tour is done (Golden Circle Safari without activity) and only the snowmobiling is canceled due to weather the refund is 6.000 ISK. If the snowmobiling is canceled we can sometimes offer an extra super jeep adventure or an hour of quad biking at the same price, then there is no refund for canceling the snowmobiling. This is mainly a concern during high winter and autumn when there is a lot of storms and heavy snow.
