I would recommend anyone to book the Super Jeep South Shore tour - fabulous with black sand beaches, caves and walking behind the waterfall. Skip Reykjavik Excursions - they don't stop long enough. One tour we booked with them they stopped again at the waterfall you walk behind - we were there with our Arctic tour guide - they only allowed 10 minutes! No one walked behind it the entire point of going there. Thanks to Gummie for the best memories!

River Action - Rafting Day Tour from Reykjavík on the Hólmsa

Rafting on Hólmsá River is an action packed rafting trip and is ideal for those who are looking for adrenaline! All the fun and action a river can possibly hold are in this case jammed together into one river. Huge waves, giant holes and mini waterfalls are on the menu for RiverAction. We bypass a beautiful waterfall on our way and see the spring water of Hólmsá River fuse with the brown glacial water of Leirá River. The natural surroundings are quite interesting; everything from barren lava to green pastures and woods. The Hólmsá river was short listed for the Rafting World Championship so this is the real deal. This trip is just for those that have rafted before! 

Guaranteed departures for minimum 12 persons:

Pick-up from Reykjavík* and other hotels on the south shore. Distance from Reykjavik: 230 km. Duration of trip: 5 or 10 hours with transfer from Reykjavík. Available: June to August (depending on weather). Minimum: 10 persons. Maximum: 36 persons. Age limit: 18 years. Bring with you: A warm sweater, swimwear, spare clothing and a towel. Knowledge of the sport is required.
