This tour will take you off the beaten path to experience Iceland´s natural gems in the comfort of our 4x4 super jeep. Our first destination is the beautiful and historic Þingvellir area where Iceland´s first parliament “Alþingi” was established in 930 AD. We will walk down through Almannagjá canyon and to the Silfra fissure in the heart of the park. Here you will get to experience the clearest waters in the world on our famous Into The Blue snorkeling trip. The underwater visibility of the lava field stretches into the distance, on good day more then 100 meters! You will also be snorkeling with America on one side and Europe on the other, this is with out a doubt one of the most unique and refreshing trips Iceland has to offer.
Next, we take the trail behind the picturesque shield volcano Skjaldbreid, and after about a two hours drive on tough trails and some river crossings we get back to normal roads again. Our next stop, Gullfoss, is Iceland´s best known waterfall, it cascades down 32 meters into the mighty glacial river Hvítá. After seeing Gullfoss up close we continue onwards for a short drive to the Geysir geothermal area. There we will eye witness the spouting hotspring in all its power.

Details: PRICE: 44.990 ISK per person. This tour is also available in a driver guided super jeep for 37.990 ISK per person. Bring with you: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, headwear and gloves. Good hiking shoes are recommended (note: hiking shoes, waterproof jacket and pants can be rented if you let us know in advance).

Extras: You can rent a good quality waterproof camera from us for an additional 5.000 ISK total price. The guide will divert them over to a disc straight after the trip. We also sell disposable cameras at our shop / office down town Reykjavík for 3.000 ISK.
PLEASE NOTE (for the snorkeling): Although you don´t need to "swim" while snorkeling, we recommend that you can. The reason for that is people that can´t swim tend to panic when they are in the water. You have to be comfortable with floating in water.
PLEASE NOTE (for the U-drive): Driving a modified 4x4 super jeep can be very demanding and dangerous, especially in icy and wet conditions. Therefore the guide has full authority to take over the driving should he evaluate it necessary.
Off-road driving means driving dirt roads and mountain passes. Due to extreme winter conditions these roads are often hard to drive or even impassable. In such cases the guide has full authority to alter the itinerary.
Drivers have to be over 25 years old and hold a valid drivers license. All our super jeeps are with manual transmission therefore you have to be comfortable with driving a stick shift.
